
The ride is being organized by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation in partnership with Mast General Store to promote the proposed North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway motorcycle tag. Motorcyclists will meet at Mountain Gateway Museum in Old Fort and then ride to the Original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis on Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Day. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a unique national park. This ribbon of mountain road unites the spirit of the past with the present, allows travelers to sample the pleasures of simple mountain living and to develop an appreciation for the incredible splendor offered by the mountains. Help us preserve this outstanding national park by riding with us on September 13, 2008. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Mountain Gateway Museum on Catawba Avenue in Old Fort, North Carolina (Just off US 70 in downtown Old Fort. From I-40 take exit 73). The entire $20 per bike entry fee benefits the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. First Bike out at 10 a.m. For more information call 828 963-6511 or send E-mail.
